While I am sitting here at the desk, answering phones and the same repetitive questions, why don’t you head over to Broken Dial and get your hands on some new mp3s?

I really am enjoying sitting around and just watching football on the weekend. I love the whole “I’m hung over and desperately want to just lay on the couch and relax.” I know a lot of dudes that do. In fact, we all need to relax more. I know that the last two months of my life were stressful and frightening and what-have-you, and I am really glad that Tracy didn’t want me to run around like a chicken with my head cut off today. I don’t think I could have handled it.
Today, I am working on some writing (”I won’t get that done”) and I might just head over to Palace Fried Chicken and pick up an Italian Cheeseburger. It’s really horrible for you (two cheeseburgers are sliced, placed on loaf of Italian hero/bread, and smothered in Ketchup and French Fries. Yes, french fries ON the burger) and it’s awesome. I need to get some writing done for Broken Dial, as I owe Salt and Samovar a CD review (Old Joy, New Joy is one of the best albums this year, no joke), I need to review the show from Thursday night and start my mp3 mixtape.
Ah, the life of an intraweb celeb. Glamorous!

I was out very late with ATP. We went to see The Old Ceremony at Joe’s Pub. The set was pretty good (we sat at the bar) and the band sounded very tight and concise. Some songs were stinkers, but the GOOD material was really good, which is always a great thing for bands.
I really have had a rough time writing lately, I think the anesthesia is still messing with my
brain.
…
Honestly.
After shoulder surgery, I was a mean jerk for months. This time: not as mean, but very, very moody. It might also be that my birthday is coming up and it’s the big 30 minus 1. 29 doesn’t feel as sexy as I thought it would.
I put that there because I couldn’t link something the way that I wanted to and it was pissing me off. Effing eff!

I personally believe that US Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don’t have maps and I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and The Iraq everywhere like such as and I believe that they should our education over here in the US should help the US or should help South Africa and should help The Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future for our children.
Oh man, I am glad that someone is capitalizing on this. I am sorry that Lauren Caitlin Upton, Miss South Carolina Teen USA, made such a fool out of herself, like the such as. That’s right, Busted Tees made a t-shirt with a sash. Give it to the one you love…or save it for the one that is dumb enough not to know what it is, but is most likely to make a similar mistake. Make her put it on and the hilarity will ensue, I am sure of it.

I spent 8 pretty frightening weeks thinking I was dealing with lymphoma. I now have a scar on my neck from the surgery to remove a lymph node for them to biopsy. It was interesting. Everything about the experience was very “important.” Every step HAD to happen as soon as humanly possible, everything was “crucial,” which heightens the intensity. If every thing you need to have done is on a scale of 1-10, a 12, you start to get more paranoid. I thought I was dying, which is stupid as unless I got “fat cancer,” I was just fine.
On two or three occasions, I sat a few inches from a bunch of people that were living with cancer. They had tumors and growths. They had chemotherapy and radiation and experimental treatments to undergo. Frankly, it felt unfair and a little cruel to smile when I left the office last Thursday. So many others in that lobby want and deserve to have heard the oncologist say what he said to me:
“I never want to see you again.”
Followed with a firm handshake, the meaning carried a powerful message with it: I was off the hook. No cancer. I had averted a life-threatening disease and a fight for my life. My days were mine again. I didn’t need to be afraid of the terrifying experiences of the last two months. I wouldn’t have my bone marrow sucked out of my hip or a chemical injection pump planted in my chest.
For now, I don’t have cancer. I don’t think I will ever get it, but I am also quite sure that my grandfather never thought he would have all the heart attacks that he did. Today, I am fine and that’s alright by me. Thanks to everyone who wrote and kept me in their thoughts. I think it helped.

P.S. I already gave a $20 to someone that was collecting for cancer charities. I consider it good karma.

It’s really kind of cool. I know I have seen a ton of people in the St. Mark’s area who are wearing these right now, but this one might be the coolest I have seen. It’s not ironic, but I found a photo of my family camping when I was a very small boy, and my dad was rocking one as well.
He certainly didn’t mean to be cool, but it was funny to think that he was ahead of his time (or behind the times if you believe in the cyclical nature of trends). Either way, this hat looks comfy.

There was a gentleman on the train today with an ancient iPod. Seriously, it looked like it was Generation I, and I stress that Roman Numeral I just used because it makes much more sense that way. It was old.

I was over at Karma Loop and noticed this really rad Tiki Tee that Tracy would surely love me to own. I wish she was awake to share the love with instead, I will post it here and hope and pray that SOMEONE loves the shirt too.

Kick ass!

Every day, it appears that more and more t-shirt manufacturers spring up online. Those sites that have already gained some notoriety reap the rewards of years of work, but what about the little guys? What about the sites that just started up and need to find their own niche?
For those people, I present:

Welcome to Smittees.com! This site will serve as a general way for “wifey” and I (that’s Native American for friend) to keep up on all the cool gear and gizmos that we find online. Not everything we are going to say or do will make a whole lot of sense, but flobberty-gob-gobbie.
…
I warned you. Have fun because I know that we will.
